The Sage Group is looking for an Events Director to work with our client, an enterprise networking vendor in the South Bay. The events director will be responsible for designing and executing all company events including:
Large company-branded customer facing events such as Atmosphere and Sales Kickoff
Tier-One events with significant presence in the market
Small, field-driven events
Internal events
Executive Briefing Center oversight and management

Responsibilities Include:
Guide company on appropriate investment levels for events as percentage of overall marketing spend
Develop and be accountable for budget by fiscal quarter, and by individual event
Develop strategy for which events to fund
Create and drive overall event calendar by fiscal year
Work with ecosystem partners to design sponsorship packages and drive sponsorship sales
Imagine and craft a unique experience for each event.
Institute industry best practices and infrastructure
Implement an outsourced self-service event model for small field events and logo items
Design, plan and execute each event:
Develop overall experience and program.
Create pre-event and post-event marketing strategies to drive leads
Develop production calendar, work plans and team assignments.
Recruit and manage vendors and other service providers.
Manage logistics.
Coordinate talent preparation and participation.
Execute event either with in house or outsourced resources
Work with field leaders on scheduling client visits to the Aruba Executive Briefing Center
Manage the coordinator of scheduling and execution of customer visits
Update technology story and demonstrations in the Executive Briefing Center, working with Technical Marketing team
Mentor junior events team members.
Skills Required:
More than 7 years of experience organizing events in high tech or networking related area
Proven track record organizing and managing events with a minimum of 1,500 attendees
Track record of producing large, branded events for customers
Outstanding collaboration and team management skills
