As a result of their ongoing expansion we are a seeking proven business development professional to recruit and build relationships with other software or consulting companies in the areas of data integration, big data/Hadoop, data warehouse, business intelligence, etc. for this great opportunity:

Position title: Director Business Development

Location: Bay area, California

Position description:

The Director of Business Development Director is an important and key position within the company. The qualified candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth associated with selling company offerings with complementary technology partners and consultancies in the Hadoop and Big Data markets. The Director will define and execute partner enablement and engagement programs designed to drive awareness and preference to work with the company, as well as collaborating on joint marketing and sales activities. The Director will build personal relationships with the partners' organizations, facilitate co-selling between sales teams, and understand the partners' go-to-market strategy in order to make the company a valuable and strategic partner.

Position responsibilities:

• Drive revenue growth related to partner organizations including complementary technology partners and consultancy organizations in the Big Data, Hadoop and data integration markets.

• Define and execute partner enablement and engagement programs, driving awareness and preference, resulting in joint demand-generation and sales activities.

• Work closely with and build deep and valuable relationships with the partner's internal organizations

• Help to develop and support sales and marketing organization in co-selling and co-marketing activities and align activities with partners' go-to-market strategies.

Required experience and skills:

• 5+ years of experience in business development or channel development/management to recruit and build partner relationships to drive revenue

• Excellent written and communication skills.

• Self-motivated approach with high desire to succeed and ability to work both independently and with internal and partner organizations at multiple levels.

• Experience in big data/Hadoop, data integration, data management or data warehousing

• Bachelor's degree

• Ability to travel as needed to partner locations(25-50%)
