Responsibilities:
Corporate and Investment Banking the commodities department is a multi-national major actor on precious metals, oil, gas and power markets.
The front Office IT Team based in NYC where you will work is in charge of managing prices, markets , parameters, trades capture and position keeping system. Its principal objectives are to adapt the global in-house developed information system called Meteor to the US gas and power Financial Markets. You will be involved on every process of this process, especially on front office tools design and development formalization and realization of tests and validations users training and support.
Technical Skills Required
· Object oriented design and development, advanced (Sybase and/or MS SQL Server).
· Visual Basic 6/ COM. VBA, .NET (MS VS .NET 2002 or higher), Windows XP (advanced user)
· Financial derivatives products (Options, Swaps..) main financial pricing models (BS., Cox, Monte Carlo) Desired plus:
· US gas and power financial markets or, by default other oil or energy commodities financial markets
· Very good capacities of communications, Ability to work under pressure, Ability to work in an international and distributed development team environment.
· 2 years of IT development for a front office in financial markets
· 4 years Bachelor’s degree- Computer Science
· 4 to 6 weeks of training in Paris will be required initially
Desired Skills:
· C++ (MS VS 6 or 7 .NET/ COM. Sybase RDB good knowledge, MSMQ, MS .NET frame work advanced functions
· Ability to read and speak French
