Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Partner Event Manager Consultant for one of our technology clients in Santa Clara, CA. The Consultant will own all the registration components for our clients' large scale user conference. Candidates must have hands on experience managing the partner components of at least one large scale event in order to be considered.



Seeking a consultant who excels in a rapidly growing marketing organization with few structured processes in place. Must be highly adaptive, self-directed, remain calm under pressure and have a sense of humor to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

Own the partner event operations components of a large scale user conference and other events, ensuring partner program objectives are met

Along with Program Lead, co-manage partner aspects of program: Attend weekly meetings that provide agendas, status report overviews, meeting notes and action items to appropriate team members

Provide updates to Program Lead and gain all appropriate approvals based on Leads' guidance

Collaborate with internal constituents to create the appropriate targeted promotions to meet partner attendance goals and ensure enhanced partner attendee experiences

Act as the liaison between Sales and all partner stakeholders to manage an extensive series of partner meetings (both prescheduled and impromptu) within the overall user conference

Project management of partner portal within the overall conference reqistration portal; ensuring consistent communications with all stakeholders

Manage all vendors related to the partner segments of the program, including consultants and agencies

Manage all budget line items associated with the partner portion of the program and provide status to program lead weekly

Create trend reports in Excel; administrative work opening purchase orders, etc.

Provide operations support for targeted and ancillary events

Provide support with projects to other event team members as necessary

Skills:

6+ years' experience managing partner events (summits, pavilions, demo sessions, extensive meetings) within large scale (9,000+ attendees) user or developer technology conferences or trade shows

A creative approach to event program management will be critical to being successful.

Proven leadership and management expertise

Results oriented, metrics driven

Must thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles together.

Familiarity with how to function in work streams.

Strong project management and interpersonal communications skills. Experience managing multiple projects, timelines and deadlines

Must be a self-starter, not afraid to ask questions and have the ability operate/navigate with little direction

BA in Event Management, Operations, Marketing or similar strongly preferred

RATE: D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group; benefits available

LOCATION: Onsite at client's headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. No phone calls, please; Local SF Bay Area candidates only.

HOURS/DURATION: Full time, ASAP – May 15,2015. Must have the flexibility for domestic travel to be onsite at user conference April 15-26, 2015.
