Summary
This is a software engineering position in our development team tasked with extending our existing Perl based interfaces to include ReSTful interfaces, working with partners to provide a complete data center automation solution. They will prototype proof of concept solution working with partners and work to integrate these concepts and solutions to our products. Individuals will use Infoblox and 3rd-party technologies to provide a complete offering with partner products. The position will report to the Advance Technology Group (ATG) within Infoblox.
Key Responsibilities
•Analyze feature requirements, estimate effort, design and implementation to meet requirements.
•Design and implement software components for servers and services.
•Create innovative solutions to customer requirements using data modeling and networking protocols.
•Software will be developed using Java, C/C++, Python and Perl for a Linux based operating system.
•Work closely with peer engineers in a highly collaborative environment.
•Software source control and documentation using common tools and methodologies in the software industry.
•Benchmark, analyze and enhance system performance.
Skills & Requirements
•Masters or Bachelor degree in CS, CE, EE, or other technical field such as math or physics.
•Minimum 8 years industry experience in software development.
•Strong Java, C/C++ programming skills, with a minimum of 6 years experience is required.
•Python, Soap, XML, ReST, Spring, Tomcat, Apache, Linux, Maven, and SQL required
•Knowledge of current software engineering methodologies including object-oriented techniques, use cases, and design patterns is required.
•Experience with Web Server Development in client-server architectures developing Web Service applications.
•Familiarity with Unix/Linux programming.
•Experience with VMware, vCenter and virtual infrastructure management software is a plus
•Experience in the design and implementation of Client/Server and N-tier enterprise application development is a plus.
•Experience with Ruby/Rails desirable.
•Ability to work in a fast paced environment and willingness to stretch to achieve aggressive goals.
