We are looking for a full-time Sr. Director, Software Product Marketing for a High Technology Company to be responsible for developing the Go-To-Market strategy for the software product portfolio of internally developed and third party products, and developing strategic alignment across various groups and functions in all GEOs to ensure the successful execution of the GTM strategy. The qualified candidate will also provide strategic guidance to the senior management team on the direction of the portfolio based on insight into the market dynamics and industry trends.
Key Activities:
• Lead strategic direction and roadmap for the Software Solutions in Partnership with the Products Organization.
• Manage team to develop value propositions on portfolio, deliver customer facing content and sales tools to enable AOP attainment.
• Lead cross-functional teams in major product launches. Provide guidance to various GMT functional groups in all GEOs, identify risks and facilitate conflicts to ensure successful execution at all level.
• Influence key product management teams (Storage Management, Replication, Data Protection and Security) on product directions to ensure an integrated and cohesive strategy is implemented.
• Serve as the "voice of the portfolio" with industry analysts, press and customers. Attain their views on requirements. Represent company at key speaking engagements to achieve thought leadership in the market place.
• Deliver business-level reports & metrics to Executive Committee, GMs, BU leaders, and Product Management communities.
• Manage a distributed team of full-time product marketing professionals.
Candidate Must Have:
• Strong presentation skills with the capability of translating technical feature sets into compelling solutions to customer business requirements
• 10+ years of infrastructure software product marketing experience (storage industry experience preferred)
• Extensive technical background in computer industry
• Bachelor's degree in related field, MBA preferred
• Strong people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
Preferred location is in Waltham, MA or Santa Clara, CA, but can be located anywhere and requires up to 25% travel time.
