We are currently seeking a senior-level Linux Developer/Architect to join our development team, working on the design, development and delivery of Quest vWorkspace. This is an on-site Technical Lead role and this person will be the crucial 'glue' for the rest of the team.
Core Responsibilities:
• Design, code, test, and maintain several components of an assigned product throughout the standard product lifecycle;
• Actively participate in requirements analysis, architectural discussions, code reviews and change control discussions.
Technical Requirements:
7+ years development experience on many or all of the following Linux distributions: Red Hat Fedora/CentOS/Enterprise Linux, Debian, Suse/SLED.
• C/C++ (g++, csh, ETC)
• Linux multimedia subsystems (ALSA, frame buffer)
• GUI Development (QT, GTK, Glade/Glade2)
• Scripting (Shell, PERL, init, Autoconf/Automake, make, DEB/APT, RPM/Yum
• CVS/SVN/GIT/Visual Studio
• LiveCD creation/embedded systems (desirable)
• PXE
• TFTP
• NFS
• Netboot
• Commercial/Production Development work
• TCP/IP Network development
Experience/familiarity with many or all of the following libraries:
• libstdc++
• openssl 0.9.7+
• boost/asio
• Qt 4+
• Cproto
• Popt
• PC/SC Lite (smartcard libraries)
• g++
• speex (audio)
• gstreamer
• pitfdll
• Rdesktop
Preferred Skills:
• Russian language skills are beneficial, but not essential.
