Director Product Management (Must have track record of being a
"thought" leader in all aspects of product management) (background
in leading successful product initiatives) local candidates please

Specific Responsibilities:

• Set guidelines with engineering counterparts to define product
requirements, and with marketing to define go-to-market strategy,
providing a clear understanding of product positioning, key benefits,
and target customer base.

• Be the internal leader and external evangelist for our product
offering, engaging field sales channels and key customers as
appropriate.

• Oversee the development of requirements for current and future
products through market/competitive research and via on-going
relationships with customers, partners, executives, professional
services and sales teams.

• Provide leadership in product management in order to develop,
implement, and drive solutions company wide to execute successful
go-to-market plans

Must Have:

- 10+ years of software experience with minimum of 5+ years in
core product management

- Background should include managing other product managers in a group

- Individual must exhibit product leadership for entire line
of products

- Should have solid enterprise, server domain expertise

- Individual should have track record of leading several
products to successful commercial success

- MBA would be a plus for this role

- Individual ideally would have experience in one of this key
verticals like media/govt/finance

- Individual should also possess highly strategic skills for
this position

- Very strong customer facing skills

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work
collaboratively across business units with diverse work styles,
ability to engage with customers, partners, and internal
teams/executives

- Able to travel 10-20%

Nice to Have:

• Experience in one of the following areas: database management
systems, high performance distributed systems, enterprise
search/indexing, storage subsystems, application server technologies,
development of programming languages
