Opes Advisors is seeking a Marketing Manager with 5+ years' experience working in the financial services industry with a passion for helping people manage and grow their finances and a passion for building brands. This is a full-time position located in our San Mateo office, reporting directly to our VP of Marketing. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with solid knowledge of a breadth of marketing disciplines including PR, events, seminars, website, email campaigns, sales kits, print and electronic collateral development, social media as well as advertising. The ideal candidate understands what it takes to be a successful marketing manager in a sales organization and is highly client focused. The ability to develop the ideas and content for ongoing communications to our clients and referral partners is a key skill. Experience working in a smaller company and building systems to support marketing are a strong plus.
REPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you'll be responsible for supporting a wide range of marketing initiatives:
•Help build the Opes Brand by developing and executing sound PR and buzz strategies
•Support the development of thought leadership seminars, including aiding the development of seminar ideas, preparing presentations, vendor management and event logistics.
•Collaborate with domain experts to write and proofread a wide range of marketing communications including commentaries, emails, collateral, Website, Intranet, articles, press releases, invitations, social media, and presentations.
•Support the development of email campaigns including content, build, database list management and campaign tracking.
•Working directly in our website with updates
•Email campaigns using Mail Chimp
•Manage daily and weekly content updates to website and company intranet, and support the creation of new content and functionality for both sites.
•Track progress of marketing programs to show results and inform future actions
•Experience with industry specific social media a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Minimum 5+ years marketing experience in the financial industry – referral based marketing experience a plus.
•Highly organized with exceptional time management skills, detail and deadline oriented, willing to do what it takes to deliver on time and within budget.
•Excellent communication, writing and proofreading skills.
•Superior interpersonal communication skills.
•Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
•Technical knowledge and/or experience with email marketing, database management, Content Management Systems (CMS) for websites, all a plus.
•Technical knowledge and experience with Adobe CS5 and other graphic design and production software a plus.
LOCATION
The position is located in our San Mateo office.
COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position. Pay based on experience and skills.
