ZipRealty is poised to dramatically elevate its image, broaden its presence, and accelerate business momentum, and is seeking an outstanding marketing executive with the fullest range of capabilities and ambitions to match the company's bold plans and large opportunity. The Vice President, Marketing will create and execute on breakout marketing strategies that touch all three of ZipRealty's core customers- sets: leading local brokerages under our Powered by Zip program, real estate consumers, and real estate agents. The opportunity to expand and supercharge ZipRealty's marketing profile and practice is exceptional for the right entrepreneurial candidate, allowing that individual to directly impact ZipRealty's business and growth rates at a time of change and opportunity in the real estate industry.

The Vice President, Marketing will be located in the corporate headquarters in Emeryville, CA. The role will report directly to the President of Powered by Zip, Xavier Zang.

Primary Responsibilities include, but need not be limited to, the following:
• Help design and subsequently lead a team of marketing specialists responsible for SEM, lead generation, social media, public relations, customer and market research, product marketing, thought leadership, software industry analyst relations, and all forms of marketing collateral and communications;
• Constantly monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends and opportunities to define, differentiate and optimize ZipRealty's marketing vision and messaging;
• Plan and engage in ongoing customer and market research to provide input to product development and inform and fine tune the overall marketing direction;
• Manage and inspire marketing team to creatively contribute to vision, and position ZipRealty as a leader in the internet and technology-enabled residential real estate arena;
• Develop marketing processes and execute marketing plans that contribute to growth and profitability, adjust and evolve plans to take advantage of new opportunities as they emerge;
• Collaborate with the PbZ sales team in the development and execution of marketing campaigns in support of SaaS sales efforts including collateral development;
• Develop marketing programs that target existing PbZ clients as the team works to expand existing relationships;
• Measure marketing and communications results and drive continuous improvement for all efforts;
• Manage a team of direct reports in the PbZ organization as well as matrixed reports from the ZipRealty Brokerage. In the case of matrixed reports, will have accountability for stewardship of professional development.
Qualifications

The Vice President, Marketing brings solid marketing expertise and proven, executive-level track record of success within an e-commerce or technology company. Additional qualifications include:
• Bachelors with MBA a plus;
• 10-15 years experience developing and executing high-impact digital and traditional marketing strategies for an internet/e-commerce or technology company with attainment of measureable results;
• Experience with both B2C and B2B digital marketing as well as other marketing channels;
• Solid knowledge of both SEM and SEO;
• Advanced understanding of and proven success with fundamental marketing disciplines, including research, advertising, brand, PR, social media, website, mobile, email and communications;
• Data-driven decision making;
• Effectively manage a high-performing team of direct report specialists;
• Entrepreneurial spirit, innovative, curious and creative;
• Team player, effective motivator, and able to energize team with confidence.
