We Are Seeking:

Job Title: Head of Talent Acquisition (Recruiting Manager/Director)
Department: People
Reports to: SVP People
Status: Exempt

Are you passionate and tenacious about finding great talent? We need your help to guide our rapid growth (three worldwide locations today; five by Q3'14) with thoughtful and strategic talent acquisition plans. As the Head of Talent Acquisition you will oversee our rapid growth and be an integral part of our leadership team. You and your team will ensure that we have a continuous pipeline of top quality talent to take Proteus to the next level… and beyond!

Your job goes beyond bringing talented people in the door on plan and in a timely fashion. You'll add significant value identifying creative ways to further optimize our recruiting function and help build Proteus' reputation as a world-class place to work. As a vital leader in our People organization, you'll be well-positioned to enrich our current culture and talent base — both already compelling and impressive — for the society-changing mission that's before us. Key Responsibilities:

Ensure every hiring manager receives thoughtful recruiting consultation, support and guidance

Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies for attracting top talent and position Proteus' brand strongly in the marketplace

Build, coach and mentor a talent acquisition team that will proactively source, develop and maintain an effective pipeline and network of diverse talent

Build a data-driven recruiting organization including a consistent reporting cadence that provides insight and decision support to optimize candidate pipeline, time to hire, individual recruiter efficiency metrics, and overall return on investment of recruiting efforts

Establish a university recruiting and relations strategy that develops year over year brand excellence at targeted universities and fosters trust with students, campus recruiting departments and faculty

Analyze key competitors to identify best practices; improve overall recruiting for Proteus

Participate on or manage various People(HR)/Staffing project initiatives

Qualifications:

You either have led a technology start-up or scaled a dynamic organization as a Manager/Director of Recruiting through a significant hyper-growth phase

Significant experience and proven track record as a people manager, providing hands-on leadership and hiring, managing and coaching a team of recruiters

You are passionate about data and metrics and use outcomes to drive testing, iteration, improvement, and experience-driven decision making

You have strong experience hiring technical/scientific roles and have direct experience leading software engineering recruiting teams

You and your widely-appreciated agility thrive in an hyper-growth, high-speed environment

You are ultra organized and efficient; you get things done!

You bring strong verbal and written communication skills to everything you do

You bring intimate knowledge of a web-based applicant tracking system (e.g., Taleo) and proficiency using MS Office, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

You completely "own" LinkedIn and other sourcing tools

Undergraduate degree in Business, Organization Development, Liberal Arts, or other relevant field

10 years or more experience in full lifecycle recruiting with demonstrated success in the key responsibilities for this role

Experience leading a Recruiting function at a biotech or medical device company is highly desirable
