New Business Strategies is a thought leader customer experience and strategy consulting boutique firm looking to contract an intern with strong knowledge, hands-on experience and understanding of the B2B digital media landscape, including various social media channels. The company has established a strong brand presence and following on social media - LI, FB, Pinterest, Twitter, SlideShare and would like to expand the brand's reach as well as the level of engagement with its followers. The company promotes its services through monthly and weekly outbound campaigns (written content generation, articles), infographs, video interviews,webinar series and newsletters. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing, who is looking to find new creative ways to innovatively engage on social media. This person is interested in working with a small team and eager to learn about B2B integrated marketing while making a difference.
The right person for this position must possess strong critical thinking, communication, and writing skills and be a self-starter with a strong work ethic to match. The position is responsible for defining and executing social media and marketing activities to take the firm presence to the next level. The job includes designing and executing the overall social media strategy for the balance of 2014 and 2015 including promotions, surveys, polls, infographs, paper.lis�, promotion of upcoming events, generating online campaigns to engage target audiences, blog posts, interviews, etc. as well as establish the firm's methodology on Wikipedia and experiment with new channels to engage target accounts and prospects.
� Twitter: On a daily basis (or scheduled via HootSuite) create tweet content, respond to tweets, RT where appropriate and follow competitors and leading thought leaders in the same market. Conduct polls, tweetchats, drive additional followers who are not spammers, and develop creative and interesting ways to engage with our audience of over 4000 followers.
� Content creation: Take the lead on repurposing existing content into new forms � eBooks, educational PowerPoints, webinars, podcasts etc. � and updating existing corporate materials to keep them fresh. Making use of visual content as well (infographs and other visuals) to stimulate engagement.
� Marketing campaigns: Develop a monthly newsletter (MailChimp) that is short, fun and speaks to the business problem NBS addresses. Achieve a target open rate for all lists of 20%. Work with NBS team to develop and drop monthly outbound lead generation campaigns utilizing existing assets as CTAs.
� Blogs: Identify relevant, current 3rd party blog posts (that are highly trafficked) where NBS should post a response and identify 3rd party blogs where NBS posts can be syndicated, and manage syndication.
� LinkedIn: Manage the LinkedIn Company profile, keep the content current, and leverage LI's new content publishing capability to build NBS mindshare and engagement. Ensure the LI experience is different from the firm's Facebook experience.
� Pinterest: Maintain and add pins to NBS boards and develop a demand generation strategy with Calls-to-Action to drive traffic to NBS web pages.
� YouTube: Define a YouTube strategy and identify cost-efficient ways to develop an inventory of short, entertaining videos. Think outside the box.
� Develop NBS (www.newbizs.com) website meta tags, keywords and lead the SEO efforts to raise our placement on organic searches.
� Facebook: Repost interesting stories from industry friends, NBS published content, launch polls and make the content richer.
� Paper.li. Manage the content
� Speaking opportunities. Identify 2015 sales, marketing and customer experience conferences in USA, Canada and Europe. Develop submission abstracts, follow up and manage securing speaking opportunities for Firm's President.
Requirements:
� Young professional or student with a background in Marketing/Business, PR, or Communications majors� in their final year.
� 1-2 years experience on the Web as well as an interest in B2B marketing and customer experience.
� Prior experience in B2B complex solution marketing is preferred.
� Knowledge of social media channels and social media management platforms for businesses, such as: Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, SlideShare and basic CRM.
� Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and blogging platforms (i.e.: Wordpress).
� This position can be remotely located within North America.
Reporting Relationship:
This position reports directly to the President of the company.

1. This position is ideal for a recent college graduate, young professional who has had 2-3 summer internships in social media/integrated marketing roles with B2B companies and is actively looking for a job or has just started a job and desires to accelerate their experience track.
2. Self-disciplined, able to work independently, proficient in time management and self-starter looking to grow in the B2B marketing industry.
3. Highly organized, very detailed and an excellent communicator by email, phone and chat.
4. Able to successfully and simultaneously manage tasks of a broad variety in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Self confident enough to know when to ask for help and mature enough to realize that missed deadlines impact the business, clients and other people's deadlines.
6. Positive attitude and history of strong work ethic.
7. Naturally curious with a desire to experiment and learn, innovative and creative thinker.
8. Appropriate space from which to work as well as a computer, printer and internet connection.
9. Be able to provide examples of prior work products and 3 non-academic references.
