Each employee at our corporate services locations plays a role in our company's success.<br /><br /> If you want to make a difference — and work in an environment where you can thrive and innovate — apply for this job today!<br /><br /> Job Summary <br /><br /> Robert Half is seeking an I-9 Compliance Specialist to join the Payroll Compliance I-9 team, which is responsible for verifying the employment eligibility of all US temporary personnel following federal and state guidelines.<br /><br /> Specific responsibilities include:<br /><br /> • Audit I-9 forms and supporting documentation via a third party on-line application for completeness and accuracy following federal requirements.<br /><br /> • Perform E-Verify process on new-hires and rehires to ensure employment eligibility.<br /><br /> • Log I-9 audit and E-verification results into internal applications to track compliance and identify exceptions.<br /><br /> • Prepare I-9 exception reporting and notify branch personnel of non compliant I-9s following escalation procedures.<br /><br /> • Notify and coach branch management personnel on E-Verify exception requirements and processing.<br /><br /> • Monitor E-Verify exceptions to final resolution.<br /><br /> • Assist branch personnel with inquiries regarding validity of I-9 supporting documentation and procedural questions.<br /><br /> • Provide I-9 and E-Verify documentation to internal departments and upload to vendor management systems.<br /><br /> • Research SSN change requests.<br /><br /> • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and recommend procedural changes.<br /><br /> • Assist with training and onboarding of newly hired I-9 processors.<br /><br /> • Participate in and support various projects, as requested.<br /><br /> Qualifications:<br /><br /> • High School diploma or the equivalent.<br /><br /> • 1+ years' operations or related experience required.<br /><br /> • Familiarity with I-9 and E-Verify requirements and high volume, transaction and time-sensitive processing a plus.<br /><br /> • Basic proficiency of Microsoft Office suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).<br /><br /> • Previous experience with ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft), or equivalent technical aptitude required.<br /><br /> • Ability to adapt to shifting work priorities.<br /><br /> • Ability to collaborate with team to produce deliverables.<br /><br /> • Ability to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.<br /><br /> • Ability to effectively communicate ideas verbally and in writing.<br /><br /> • Ability to demonstrate customer service skills.<br /><br /> • Ability to work independently, and with others, and prioritize work.<br /><br /> • Ability to demonstrate basic problem solving skills.<br /><br /> • Ability to grasp new concepts, including technology, and to learn quickly.<br /><br /> • Ability to understand and operate in an environment with regulatory/compliance requirements.<br /><br /> Follow us on Twitter @RH_Corp_Jobs for Robert Half Corporate job openings and career and workplace news!<br /><br /> Robert Half International Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
