Each employee at our corporate services locations plays a role in our company's success.<br /><br /> If you want to make a difference — and work in an environment where you can thrive and innovate — apply for this job today!<br /><br /> Job Summary<br /><br /> Reporting to the Director, Accounting Operations, Protiviti FSC, the Manager, Accounting Operations, is responsible for the management of the employees and processes of the Time and Expense function of the Accounting Operations team. The position is located in San Ramon, California and manages 9+ direct reports.<br /><br /> The Accounting Operations group provides accounting and operational support services to the Protiviti business segment in the U.S. and Canada. Protiviti generates approx. $600 million in annual revenue from risk-management consulting services, the sale of software, knowledge-based subscriptions, and residual products. The portfolio represents over 2,500 client services projects at any given time and in various stages of completion.<br /><br /> The successful candidate for this role will have the management skills and operational accounting expertise to become the subject matter expert on time and expense processes, while leading the development of staff, adherence to SLAs and internal controls, and optimization of customer service.<br /><br /> Specific responsibilities include:<br /><br /> • Engage customers to solicit feedback on team customer support and implement changes to maintain and improve customer service levels.<br /><br /> • Engage staff daily to monitor volume, anticipate resource needs, and support staff efforts to meet Service Level Agreements.<br /><br /> • Provide guidance and direction regarding escalated customer service issues. Quickly identify cause, effects and solutions of problems and work with the FSC staff and Corporate Services teams to expedite problem resolution.<br /><br /> • Communicate progress and resolution of problems to department leadership and the affected internal and external customers.<br /><br /> • Work with a project team to complete testing, conversion, and rollout of new system. Manage the implementation of system enhancements, upgrades and regulatory updates.<br /><br /> • Partner with department leadership to provide input and change management support to corporate and global initiatives.<br /><br /> • Review and approve prepared contractor invoices, and prior period time and expense adjustments for approvals and accuracy.<br /><br /> • Maintain relationships with external and internal organizational units.<br /><br /> Qualifications:<br /><br /> • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent experience.<br /><br /> • 6+ years' of relevant (analytical, billing, and accounting) experience with a degree.<br /><br /> • Without a degree, 8+ years' of relevant experience and 4+ years' experience managing a staff of 7+ members.<br /><br /> • Experience in a high volume, time-sensitive processing environment.<br /><br /> • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Revenue Recognition Reporting, US and Canada Sales Taxation required.<br /><br /> • Experience with ERP systems.<br /><br /> • Experience in dealing directly with customers and addressing business concerns on a timely basis.<br /><br /> • Project management or change management experience.<br /><br /> • Proficient in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).<br /><br /> • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of ERP, company policies, procedures, organization and controls to insure the accuracy of time entry processing.
