Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a full time/permanent Director of Segment Marketing to join our clients' team. Segment Marketing is at the epicenter of our clients' solutions. In this role, you'll be operating as the general manager of one of their target business segments. You'll work closely with Sales, Demand Generation, Content Marketing, Customer Marketing and Product Management to understand and improve overall business performance. In this position, you'll be responsible for driving business results that hit revenue goals.
The right candidate possess a record of success in SaaS or software segment marketing environments, delivering measurable results. Most importantly, this position brings significant responsibility and candidates should have demonstrated the capacity to lead teams to achieve significant goals. Must have the ability to effectively rally and diplomatically influence others.
Responsibilities:
Operate as a General Manager for your business segment, driving the right strategy across marketing and sales to hit our revenue goals
Deeply understand your buyers and markets
Work with Executive Leadership to align on our go-to-market plan, prioritizing market needs, our efforts and investments to achieve and exceed business goals
Lead a team of segment marketers to deliver go-to-market strategy, market messaging and sales enablement
Team responsibilities include:
Empower the Sales team to close deals, through broad training and direct deal support
Drive messaging and content strategies that appeal to potential and existing customers
Coordinate with Demand Generation team to translate programs and strategy into measurable pipeline and closed revenue
Lead go-to-market efforts for new initiatives through coordination across the marketing organization
Collaborate with Customer Marketing to find amazing customer stories and turn those into compelling content pieces
Effectively present the company directly to potential customers
Understand the competitive landscape and train sales to win against competitors
Develop strategic plans, market positioning, and value propositions
Skills:
10+ years of marketing experience with demonstrated success in a SaaS or software environment
5+ years strategic segment marketing (global/enterprise, SMB or B2C) experience required
Installed base segment marketing experience a plus
Demonstrated leadership capabilities. Must have experience managing the efforts of other team members (internal or external). Must exude confidence for interacting with the C-Suite
Highly skilled at critical decision-making; ability to evaluate business issues and resolve problems; ability to develop and write a business plan
Proven track record of developing and delivering messaging and sales enablement that drive pipeline, higher win rates, and revenue
Experience with marketing automation, campaign management, digital marketing or email marketing platforms a plus
Experience in digital marketing, mobile marketing, social marketing, SEO, marketing analytics or related markets considered a plus
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; highly effective presentation skills
Ability to work across organizational lines, command respect, and influence without authority
Looking for a natural leader with a bias toward action, who is highly effective in cross functional environments
Experience conducting and analyzing market and competitive research
Must be able to thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible work environment and switch rapidly from strategy to execution
An MBA from a well-regarded institution, considered a major plus
Some travel required (25-30%)
Salary: Full time/permanent/salaried employee of client. Competitive total compensation package D.O.E., w2, including annual bonus and comprehensive benefits
