Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Channel Communications Manager consultant for our client located in Santa Cruz. The Channel Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, executing and measuring all e-communications to channel partners. A large portion of time will be spent creating channel newsletters, as well as email news blasts, webinars (management/moderating and invitation management), webcasts (content, scripting and vendor management) and the PR around channel programs and news.
The Consultant will work closely with the B2B channel and strategic partner teams to develop a strategy and marketing communications plan based on the company marketing plan. You will liaise with all marketing discipline teams (content strategist, brand, PR, demand generation, digital marketing, events, communications/social, channels, strategic partners and global teams) as well as other relevant business partners to share, develop and support the plan. This position will ultimately develop strategic, integrated channel marketing plans which includes market/segment message development and alignment with the overarching brand and marketing strategy.
Responsibilities:
Leads the B2B channel communications strategy planning and execution with participation from product and solution marketing, to ensure the achievement of business goals and objectives; increase brand recognition, and enhance the company's market position
Enhances and develops channel partner program value, business proposition, and market messages that are consistent with the overarching brand message
Lead, elevate and 'channelize' promotion or product launch messaging to the channel. Be able to always say "what's in it for them" and convert language from 'you' to 'your customer' wherever appropriate.
Executes monthly channel newsletters, developing copy as well as managing content from cross functional teams, leading reviews and approvals before implementing multiple versions for different channel audiences.
Manage and implement webcasts (including scripting and managing other video agencies) and webinars; often coordinating with global and regional teams
Manage, maintain, share and socialize channel communications strategies and calendars
Support and communicate effective product launch and sales readiness to our channel partners
Lead the channel marketing communications plan execution and measure effectiveness at key intervals throughout its implementation, adjust accordingly to ensure best-in-class marketing plan that delivers significant business impact for the company
Develop content for partner annual and ad-hoc surveys and compile into key findings and executive summaries
Builds and maintains working relationships with other cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration across the enterprise
Manage the creative agency relationship whether internal or external to ensure timely and quality execution of marketing campaign communications
At every interaction, it will be your responsibility to take on the role of coach and mentor and demonstrate values of collaboration, curiosity, respect, teamwork, confidence
Skills:
5+ years developing, implementing and measuring marketing communications plans
5+ years of B2B channel marketing communications experience preferred
Excellent writing and editing skills required
Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills including the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with senior levels of management and across external partners
Knowledge and application of the Pragmatic Marketing Framework strongly preferred
Experience working with Marketo and Salesforce.com is an advantage
Understanding of how to develop a multi-faceted marketing communications plan
Experience with the buy-cycle and general knowledge of which marketing communications strategies and tactics to use at each stage
Excellent project management skills, with ability to track multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables to meet deadlines
Be passionate, energetic and maintain a positive attitude
Marketing or Business degree preferred
RATE: D.O.E., as a w2 employee of Crawford Group
LOCATION: 75% onsite at clients' office in Santa Cruz, CA, 25% virtual / offsite / remote / WFH / telecommute. No phone calls, please.
