Position Summary:
We are looking for Agile Testers who are technically skilled individuals with a QA background. Successful candidates will work within our Technology Development and QA group.
Position responsibilities:
• Create virtual environments with various operating systems, databases, content management systems.
• Create, modify, and execute test manual and automated test cases.
• Isolate, report, verify, regress bugs in issue database.
• Create and modify test plans.
• Perform installer, performance, load, concurrency and stress testing.
• Coordinate testing with different offices and teams.
• Support solutions engineering and technology documentation team by troubleshooting, reviewing client specific scenarios and documentation.
• Troubleshoot operating system and networking setup issues.
• Troubleshoot in relation to database or content management system integrations.
• Perform other special projects or duties when required.
Essential skills and experience required:
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university related to Computer Sciences or Information systems
• Passion for and commitment to software quality
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience writing black box and GUI test cases, designing tests to mitigate risks, and helping business experts define requirements
• At least 3 years of testing experience, preferably with Web-based applications
• Experience writing simple SQL queries and insert/update statements, and basic grasp of SQL Server or another relational database
• At least one year of experience with any of the scripting languages (Perl/Ruby/Python), and/or open source test frameworks (Selenium or WebAii) and/or open source tools (Fit, FitNesse, HtmlUnit or others), and/or commercial test tool scripting languages, and/or programming inany language
• Knowledge of basic Windows commands and batch files
• Experience collaborating on some level with programmers and business experts
• Experience in context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing a plus
• Ability to work as part of a self-directed team, in which you determine your tasks on a daily basis in coordination with co-workers, rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of SCRUM and agile testing practices
• Experience working in a virtualized environment (VMWare or HyperV)
