We are looking for a Principal Product (Interaction/Experience) Designer who will be a driving force for all of Mark Logic's web applications technology. The individual must be a someone who has solid background in being a "hands on" leader evangelizing product interaction / experience for a company's complete product portfolio. You must have a special eye for visual and interactive design– but most importantly, we need someone with a demonstrated ability to understand both the possibilities and constraints of web applications. You will be responsible for Mark Logic "look and feel" and be the point person on setting up Mark Logic new end user applications.
Principal Product Designer
Responsibilities:
Lead and drive and design the interactive work flow for MarkLogic products.
Work closely with UX, engineering, product management, and marketing teams to create an aesthetic vision and help translate it into a successful interactive browser-based application.
Work as part of a team and participate in engineering life cycle of the full product.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in end to end user interaction / user experience in software market
Expertise with the latest concepts and elements involving UX, User interaction is critical for this position
Track record of being a "hands on" leader for user/interaction/experience for a company's product line
Extensive experience working successfully with RIA, Web 2.0 applications, or gaming platforms
Individual must have portfolio that gives solid evidence of highly innovative and market leading product designs
Experience founding a new project and taking it to completion or successful launch
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
Proven experience in partnering with product management and engineering
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
