Description
EcoFactor is seeking an experienced Systems/Network Administrator to join its software engineering/IT team. Our large-scale SaaS consists of a wide variety of computing and networking systems along with a distributed computing platform in a 24x7 hosted environment. Successful candidate must be a self-starter, problem solver and team player.
Responsibilities
¨ Systems and network administration for EcoFactor's SaaS system
¨ Adopt industry standards technologies for a 24x7 secure high-availability networking environment
¨ Support high-volume high-transaction OLTP databases and data warehouses
¨ Support clustered databases with replication/fail-over configurations
¨ Support a large-scale distributed computing platform
¨ Adopt best practice security measures including VPN, PKCS
¨ Establish and manage industry standards backup & recovery processes
Requirements
¨ 4+ yrs industry experience as a senior systems administrator
¨ Hands-on experience in:
o Managing large-scale SaaS platform
o Linux OS and kernel performance tuning
o Monitoring tools such as Nagios
o Firewall and server hardening
o VPN products such as OpenVPN
¨ Experience in the following desired:
o Networking using Cisco, Vyatta products
o NOC, server co-location
o Apache httpd, Tomcat, JBoss clusters
o Database administration
o Distributed computing technology such as Hadoop
o BI analytics reporting system such as BIRT, JasperSoft
¨ Local (SF Bay) candidate
