Job Description
Working with sales, marketing and product management teams, the Consumer Sales Project Manager will:
1. Develop specific action plans for each sales initiative
2. Engage the relevant teams to identify, assess and address opportunities, challenges and risks
3. Track the status of action plans and report to the teams and management on a regular basis
4. Measure results of project management activities and practices
5. Propose improvements to project management for sales initiatives that deliver increased effectiveness and efficiencies
6. Develop relationships with key stakeholders in core business teams to monitor and identify needs
Core Responsibilities
• Understand and evangelize the strategic value of each sales initiative you are responsible for tracking
• Be an expert on product functionality, value proposition, and end-to-end customer experience
• Develop, publish and maintain specific action plans for each sales initiative
• Gather timely updates for the action plans from relevant teams
• Proactively communicate emerging opportunities and potential challenges
• Prioritize problem solving activity and engage the right people to achieve the desired results
• Collaborate effectively with sales, marketing and product management groups to ensure successful execution of action plans
• Develop mechanisms to measure effectiveness of your project management practices from a customer satisfaction and ROI perspective
• Build and maintain deep and productive partner relationships within internal and external core teams assigned to execute on sales initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic and decisive; a results-driven self-starter with a strong collaborative nature; and exudes a creative and positive can-do attitude. Specific requirements and qualifications for this position are:
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent planning skills and outstanding attention to detail
• Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, including presentations to groups of various sizes
• Demonstrated track record of exceeding established goals on a consistent basis
• Ability to independently find and utilize research and supporting documentation
• Skilled at delivering relevant material in an influential manner
• Proven ability to achieve results working with large, complex organizations, both internally and externally
• Strong understanding of consumer technology, especially security software
• Fast learner with a thirst for new and creative ways of getting the technical and business messages across to sales teams
• College degree required
• 5+ years relevant experience in technology industry. Security software experience preferred
• Expert user of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe, and other productivity applications and tools
• PMP Certification desirable
