About the Role:
The Alliance Program Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, developing and implementing marketing strategies to assist in growing our ecosystem of McAfee alliance partners. You will devise effective marketing programs that create awareness and deliver enhanced program value to our partners. Building on our best in class partner program, the alliance program marketing manager will develop and run innovative and cost effective marketing programs and campaigns that align with our corporate program objectives and assist in driving revenue with our program partners. This includes creating program and campaign strategies to support partner recruitment, driving program value through effective marketing programs, and driving new business through targeted campaigns. Activities include planning and managing direct mail, email, trade shows & conferences and webinars. In this role, you will be responsible for managing marketing programs from conception to program execution and evaluating marketing programs against quantitative and qualitative objectives to ensure continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement marketing programs that add value to the McAfee alliance partner community
Evaluate marketing programs against quantitative and qualitative objectives to ensure continuous improvement and return on investment
Create industry awareness of the partner program
Work closely with other Global Marketing functions - Solutions Marketing, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Regional Marketing, Creative Services, Public Relations and Sales - to insure integrated program execution and consistent messaging.
Develop collaborative messaging that demonstrates the value proposition to customers, partners, sales teams and press.
Articulate McAfee program attributes and ensure they are consistently incorporated into corporate marketing programs and creative vehicles.
Develop program communications to both internal and external audiences
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
The successful candidate will have significant experience in developing partner marketing programs, delivering high-impact marketing programs and driving global program execution.
Extensive experience in developing and managing partner marketing programs, including:
Development of technology partner marketing strategies - understanding of alliance program best practices
Development of partner program marketing plans to support global sales priorities
Development of partner marketing recruitment programs
Execution of demand generation campaigns including webinars, seminars, events and website marketing
Tracking and reporting marketing program effectiveness
Ability to develop trusted working relationships with partner community and develop joint partner marketing campaigns
Creating both program messaging and joint partner value messaging for use in website content, press releases, collateral and demand generation campaigns.
10+ years direct partner program experience, integrated marketing plan development, communication programs and collaborative demand generation
5+ years alliance marketing/ technology partner marketing
Understanding/familiarity of the security market
Ability to build consensus in a fast-paced, cross functional team environment
Ability to define marketing objectives, track and evaluate results, including marketing return on investment
Global marketing experience
Experience managing creative agencies and managing a partner portal
Strong project management and reporting skills required
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
