Analyzes business requirements documents and develops a design to meet the business needs while considering fit to our architecture and performance requirements.
Develops web-based applications using VB.net and Javascript.
Creates SQL Server stored procedures to implement logic in the database. Optimizes complex database queries to perform within the tight standards of the application.
Plans and executes tests that demonstrate that the program meets the requirements.
Creates SQL Scripts and ad-hoc programs to generate test data as needed.
Explores new technologies that could be of importance in advancing the capabilities of the application. Creates demonstration projects or prototypes as required.
Manages version control for complex implementations to insure that the correct versions of all objects are moved to the live system.
Analyzes reported issues and finds the root cause. Develops solutions to correct any issues found.
Produces ad-hoc reports or analyses as required.
Manages production of large scale reports (report cards, transcripts etc) as required.
Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Plus three years of experience as a software engineer, or closely related experience in the development of large-scale web-based systems. Experience using ASP.net, HTML, Javascript, Jquery, AJAX, Visual Basic, and SQL in a SQL Server environment.
Note: Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience that provide the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform the duties of the position may be considered.
