[KITlist] CONTR: Market Assessment Analyst - Data Center (SF Bay Area, CA)

As part of Crimson's Product Marketing Services, Consultant needed to serve as an analyst on a Data Center based market assessment project. Role will involve working closely with our client to drive research and summarize market analysis. Project will involve creating a market segmentation within the data center vertical (e.g. financial, ecommerce, healthcare, cloud, colo, etc.) to identify key areas and target companies. In addition, project scope will involve refining our clients' core value proposition, positioning and messaging specifically targeted to the data center market.

Project responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
•Create research plan to gather data
•Gather primary and secondary research to confirm/refute business hypothesis
•Analyze and evaluate research and conduct interviews with industry analysts to refine insights
•Provide strategic insights into the industry covering pricing models and deal structures
•Develop testing of value proposition, positioning, and messaging


MUST HAVE:
•3+ year of experience marketing to data center customers
•Strong understanding of the data center industry and key market drivers
•Experience conducting global market segmentation and sizing
•Experience developing value proposition, positioning and messaging

STRONGLY PREFER:
•MBA
•Demonstrated experience conducting primary and secondary market research for enterprise level companies

Duration: 6-8 weeks, (part to full-time)
Location: Peninsula, (off-site flexibility)
