Senior Solution Consultant
Location: Northeast (preference to Columbia, MD) and Southwest (San Francisco, CA), Pacific Northwest (Seattle, WA)
Status: Full-Time
Required: Bachelor´s Degree, 5+ years experience
Message Systems, the market leader in Advanced Message Management Solutions, is looking for an energetic Senior Solution Consultant. This is a full-time position.
We are looking for messaging and marketing experts who can meet with our future and current customers to analyze their current business needs and challenges and leverage their extensive knowledge of messaging and digital marketing to architect a solution incorporating the products and services provided by Message Systems and our Partners.
As a Senior Solution Consultant, you will meet with a variety of stakeholders and be expected to perform discovery with stakeholders and decision makers including all C-level executives, particularly Chief Marketing Officers and Chief Technology Officers and then deliver a tailored solution presentation. You will need to use your digital messaging and marketing experience to add value and build credibility as you meet with both decision makers and influencers at all levels.
Solution Consultants are consultative leaders who help customers understand why Message Systems solutions are a fit for solving their business problem. Understanding and loving this type of work and possessing a broad range of messaging and marketing experience to draw upon is critical to your success.
Responsibilities
Team with senior account executives, product managers, and product marketers to develop strategy and execute tactics needed to help prospects understand the value of Message Systems solutions for their project or enterprise.
Conduct discovery workshops with customers to gather solution requirements, evaluate product fit, define business value, and influence solution direction.
Develop and deliver solution presentations and demonstrations (often customer-specific) to both business-oriented audiences as well as highly technical audiences on a corporate basis.
Help customers understand differentiation and benefit of Message Systems solutions over home-grown or other alternatives.
Conduct requirements gathering workshops to develop solution specifications for use by post-sales team.
Assist in development of new training initiatives, train and mentor new Solution Consultants.
Requirements
5+ years of experience delivering messaging related products and services to business customers. Experience consulting at an Email Service Provider or large consulting firm a plus.
5+ years of experience in software pre-sales. Experience in a Business Analyst role is a plus.
Keen desire and enthusiasm to assist prospects in understanding the value proposition of the technology and helping customers improve their business processes.
Proven experience in producing and presenting solution proposals or consulting deliverables for customers.
Business or marketing-oriented degree (MBA/MIS/BIS) or relevant experience. Education related to Business Analysis is a plus.
Strong inter-personal, oral and written communication skills a must.
Experience with large enterprise software sales a plus.
Experience in the email marketing industry a plus.
Ability to travel approximately 30-50% in support of sales and customer activities.
