Sales Strategy Operations Manager

Position Summary
The Sales Strategy and Operations Manager based in Alameda, CA, will report to the Sr. Director of Worldwide Sales Operations. Your primary goal will be to support the Worldwide Sales Leadership Group in driving strategic and operational excellence within the Global Sales function.
We are looking for a combination of management consulting and industry experience working within sales and marketing functions.
Responsibilities will lead to increased sales efficiency, effectiveness and productivity. You will work
collaboratively with sales leadership, managers and field sales to identify process improvements, systems and reporting requirements to enable growth of the organization.
You should have passion for business consulting, project management, process design and delivering with impact. We need a strong commitment to quality and a clear drive for concrete and measurable results. The ideal candidate will be self-confident, comfortable dealing with and managing ambiguity, and be effective with cross-functional collaboration.
In addition, we are looking for someone capable of managing multiple projects and processes, possessing strong process knowledge and problem-solving skills, and being effective at communicating with senior management audiences.
Primary Responsibilities
� Work with cross-functional teams to define, develop and execute innovative business process and technology programs that increase efficiencies and operational excellence within the global sales function
� Develop reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions to support strategic and tactical initiatives
� Analyze industry trends and competitive opportunities/threats, and assist with development of big ideas and breakout plays
� Support the annual sales planning process, working cross-functionally with global sales leadership, product management, and finance team members
� Manage the development and execution of sales enablement/training initiatives
Required Experience / Skills Education
� Bachelor���s degree required, MBA (preferred but not required) from leading Business School
� 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in software sector and/or 2-3 years of experience working for a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte)
� Combination of strategic thinking and exceptional execution capabilities
� Strong analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities
� Experience with CRM and business intelligence tools
� Strong team player with a track record of delivering results in cross-functional teams
� Expertise in assembling information and creating succinct messaging and presentations (verbal and written) for executive consumption
� Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo to continuously improve and innovate
� High level of professionalism, tenacity and energy with sense of urgency to �make things happen�
