Overview
The Senior Designer will be the main creative lead in the Marketing department to conceptualize and execute compelling creative and deliver cutting edge design work. Responsibilities include the design of corporate materials and branding, sales and marketing literature, campaign imagery and advertising, website designs and other creative and design work that support projects and programs across the company. The role requires a strong understanding of designing across various mediums, including online, print, tablet, mobile online, print, and environmental applications, preferably for technology products and services. The Senior Designer is a highly creative thinker who can connect creative concepts and inputs with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as creative lead within the Marketing team, responsible for creation, execution and delivery of print, online, and interactive design projects
Conceptualize, develop and create designs, layouts, graphics, illustrations, logos, icons and other creative assets for a variety of projects, including print and web deliverables
Manage and execute a variety of design projects including sales literature and catalogs, product packaging, website interface designs and graphics, print and online advertising, tradeshow/event projects, corporate identity and branding, on-product graphics/silkscreen designs, video graphics support, presentations and promotional materials
Work with and direct in-house photography specialist, assist in art directing photo shoots
Research, develop and design point-of-purchase, product displays and merchandising solutions
Work with print and other external vendors to obtain cost-effective project quotes, manage art release processes and coordinate project deliveries
Qualifications
The following job description includes, but is not limited to, the following:
5 years' experience as designer/lead designer in web/interactive, agency creative, or corporate in-house design roles
Expert in latest versions of InDesign and Adobe CS suite/tools required
3-5 years' experience in web design with demonstrated expertise and skills designing for HTML5
Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, marketing, related degree or experience
Solid understanding and experience in corporate branding, design, layout, color, typography and other design disciplines in both print and web media
Ability to create superior, original concepts and designs -- from sketching ideas to driving designs and layouts to delivery of completed, production-ready projects for print, web, video and other formats
Expert in current graphic design software, such as the Adobe CreativeSuite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and other key design, layout and web development and production tools
Expert knowledge of web-based technologies as they apply to web design such as HTML5, Flash, CSS, website structures and navigation, information design and functionality
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure; demonstrated successful delivery of projects on time
Design portfolio must demonstrate a wide range of styles and capabilities. Must be able to articulate design objectives and justify choices
