SEO Manager
Marketing - Rocket Lawyer Inc. - San Francisco, CA
The SEO Manager will lead and develop the overall strategy of Rocket Lawyer's SEO programs as part of Rocket Lawyer's customer acquisition and optimization team. This position will be responsible for maximizing the performance of all organic search results across the search space in all platforms including mobile, tablet and desktop. Managing the SEO team and working closely with Rocket Lawyer's business, product and web development teams, the SEO Manager ensures maximum organic rankings, continued traffic growth, and optimized sales conversions, while staying within budget. Building and communicating regular reporting of program specific KPI's and representing SEO in business and program planning is critical to success. The SEO Manager will regularly present plans and results to all levels of the Rocket Lawyer organization.
We are not looking for someone with a legal background; rather the right person in this role will leverage their experience managing SEO, analyze and distill data to identify actionable insights and promote the value and importance of SEO throughout the organization. The right person in this role will make a huge (and highly quantifiable) impact on Rocket Lawyer's success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and execute the SEO strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across all business lines and programs to ensure its effectiveness.
* Maximizing organic rankings, site traffic, sales conversions, and related performance metrics.
* Hire, develop and manage a team of direct and indirect reports in performing day-to-day SEO activities.
* Manage SEO content and link building strategies and day-to-day activities. Duties include determining and prioritizing SEO content, growth strategies, and performance levels relative to budgets and expected KPI's.
* Be the top advocate for Rocket Lawyer's SEO programs, including promoting and training the organization on the most up-to-date SEO best practices.
* Monitor and communicate performance against effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of SEO. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of activity in an effort to maximize results
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
* In-depth knowledge of best-in-class, white-hat SEO strategies and methodologies.
* Experience leading the development of internal processes and policies designed to maximize organic rankings and related performance metrics.
* Self-starter with demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment.
* Creative problem solver who inspires innovation across the entire team.
* Ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure in a high-visibility role.
* Experience with BrightEdge or other SEO management tools is a plus.
