Crawford Communications Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Sponsorship and Exhibit Sales Program Manager for a project based assignment with one of our high tech clients in Palo Alto, CA. The Sponsorship and Exhibit Sales Program Manager will act as the communications/relationship manager and will be responsible for developing, managing and executing the sponsorship and exhibit sales program for our clients tradeshow in September 2014.

The successful candidate has a demonstrated track record of tradeshow management including paid for sponsorship/partner pavilion management, is highly accountable, self-directed, organized and detail oriented.

Specific responsibilities:

Exhibit sponsorship/communications:

Sell and manage global exhibit sponsorship program: manage partner/sales pipeline and prospect pipeline, ensure successful sales campaigns such as outbound email campaigns, prospect research, calls to assigned list of partners
Manage key stakeholders and the sponsor contract process with clients' Legal department
Create overall experience for sponsors, exhibitors and partners by composing an exhibit pavilion program that achieves sponsorship and audience goals
Manage overall budget for sponsorship, including payment collection
Act as key contact for pre-event, sales and onsite questions/issues for sponsors: Exhibit correspondence, deadlines, survey design and implementation and post-event correspondence
Registration management:
Registration program development and strategy: assess, design, develop, deploy and execute registration experience for target audiences, from pre-event to onsite registration to post-event
Determine registration technology solution for client, oversee development of the registration site by a third party vendor
Design audience registration flows and pricing by audience type. Assume responsibility for registration reports, collecting sponsorship funds and budget management
Develop and manage overall scanning strategy: Badge layouts, barcoding system, test systems to ensure seamless onsite scanning
Responsible for overall partner pavilion plan: Create floor plan layout, develop the lead generation/passport program, creation of exhibitor kits and sponsorship giveaways
Onsite event management:
Pavilion management: Manage all onsite logistics for sponsors including pre-event services orders, move in/out, set up/teardown, shipping
Ancillary meeting room management: Pre-event space allocation, associated program elements for ancillary events, all related requests and changes as necessary onsite
Demo and lounge program management: Demo lounge set-up (including internal team area), design elements of signage and associated items in the lounge

Skills:

5+ years of exhibit sales/sponsorship program management experience
Demonstrated tradeshow and event management experience: pre-event to post-event
Developer audience experience a plus
Energetic, relationship oriented, excellent communication skills
Detail oriented, problem solver, results and metrics driven
Bachelor's degree with Marketing or Business Administration emphasis preferred

RATE: D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group; benefits available
LOCATION: Pre-event: Fully remote/offsite/virtual/WFH. Required to be onsite at event in Dallas, TX: Sept 2-12, 2014. Local, S.F. Bay area applicants only, please. No phone calls.
HOURS/DURATION: 25 hours per week through end of April 2014, ramping to 30 hours per week through end of June 2014, scaling to full time in July 2014. Start date: March 17, 2014 - September 30, 2014
