OVERVIEW:
The Channel Marketing/Launch Manager is responsible for defining the integrated marketing plans for the client's launches and announcements, inclusive of products, services, solutions, partnerships, etc. to global indirect sales channels. The successful candidate will be an expert understanding channel go-to-market processes and merchandising innovative marketing strategies for successful channel adoptions. This role works cross functionally with organizations such as Product and Solutions Marketing, Corporate and Field Marketing, Channel Sales, Internal Training, and Partner Marketing to message, construct, and execute integrated channel marketing and launch plans specific to each geography.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Prepare the global integrated channel marketing/launch plans, overseeing messaging and leading the execution of the plan into the global partner ecosystem including VARs, GSIs, SPs, and Alliances
* Lead the global channel launch team composed of functional owners from enablement, marketing, programs, communications, Alliances, GSI and SP teams as well as their geo counterparts; run team meetings and provide regular updates and metrics to broader teams
* Be the primary driver of overarching partner launch messaging and deliverables – theme, objectives, planning, and value proposition in support of a broader strategy
* Work with key stakeholders from multiple cross functional organizations
* Discover and understand the partners' needs and requirements for business success
* Build and publish global channel/marketing launch plans with supporting dashboards
* Work with each geography to define local execution requirements including support of launch objectives
* Integrate all channel requirements, as appropriate, into Corporate launch and announcement schedules
* Identify and prioritize cross geography readiness requirements for technical, sales, and service support requirements
* Integrate partner segmentation models to support broader channel marketing and launch strategy
* Assess opportunities to increase channel adoptions, reduce time to market, and accelerate competitive advantage
* Work with internal communications teams to articulate launch messaging, objectives, and activities
* Reassess key product/technology success in channel post launch and define next steps/corrective actions
* Be a strong advocate in helping to build supporting systems, tools, and other requirements for execution
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum 7-10 years' experience in high-tech marketing/sales functions; storage and data management experience required
* Strong program management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate many simultaneous projects/activities, while keeping stakeholders updated on schedules and timelines
* Successfully managed and executed global channel launches to a partner ecosystem
* Strong presentation and communications skills
* Demonstrated track record of working closely with extended product, sales, and marketing teams
* Strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of global markets
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fact paced, changing and sometimes ambiguous environment
* Demonstrated ability to logically plan and set priorities, identify and resolve problems to produce measurable results
* Ability to influence across a diverse organization
