Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a full time Event Coordinator for our client in Santa Clara. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the execution of our client's upcoming global user conference. This is a great opportunity for a highly creative professional with proven success supporting the execution of large scale events.
The Event Coordinator is hands-on in the day-to-day execution of events including operations, budgeting, execution, vendor management, analysis and reporting.
The ideal candidate is a passionate individual with a sense of humor who loves being a part of a winning team and thrives on making a difference.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Event Operations Manager in driving the infrastructure and processes required to successfully execute a large scale event (9000+ attendees)
Assist with executing event deliverables, logistics, registration, attendee housing, staffing, sponsorship activation and measurement and metric program
Participate in ongoing meetings taking relevant notes and action items that support the program leads
Report into and partner with Event Operations Manager for the following:
Event operations and planning for targeted events which include networking programs during the user conference
Manage timeline of the conference mobile app and attendee experience
Website project management, ensuring all teams are in sync and delivering assets needed for web updates and email communications (marcom/promotions, community team, content team) for updates and email deployments.
Communicate with agencies and vendors which support direct efforts and collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute events
Possible work with other event team members on other events as needed
Skills:
2-4 years prior experience providing logistics support for live events (meetings, conferences, trade shows, internal corporate events), in the fast paced B2B technology sector
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Requires a high level of initiative, attention to detail and the ability to follow through on assignments to completion
Enthusiasm, self-starter initiative with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Tech savvy, must embrace technology
Strong project management and interpersonal communications skills
Must have a sense of humor and get along well with colleagues
Creative thinker, open to idea exploration with strong problem solving/analytical abilities
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
BA in Marketing, Communications or similar
Rate: D.O.E. as a w2 employee of Crawford Group, benefits available
Location: Onsite at clients' offices in Santa Clara, CA. No phone calls, please.
Hours/Duration: Full time, 2/17/15 – 4/30/15
