Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an interim, part-time Corporate Marketing Director Consultant to launch our client's marketing efforts. This hot technology start-up is in need of a consultant full of ideas and energy to develop and implement marketing strategies for their revolutionary data center technology offering.
The Consultant will build and drive corporate marketing strategy and programs for the company, including corporate messaging, web presence and SEO, advertising, creative, digital and social programs, demand generation and events. While building these plans, the Corporate Marketing Director Consultant will identify and vet potential partners, such as web, creative, and demand generation vendors.
The ideal candidate will have proven success driving marketing strategy for networking and data center sectors, can process highly-technical information with ease and can create and foster strong relationships with all levels within an organization. This role is in a start-up environment; we're seeking a big thinker who also enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting the work done.
Responsibilities:
Develop marketing strategy and roadmap
Develop corporate messaging platforms, positioning, collaborate with PR agency of record
Develop marketing plans and communications that align with company vision
Determine marketing efforts required to support business and sales goals (website, SEO, social, demand generation, events, etc.)
Develop best practices across email, viral, social, print, promotions, event, customer relationship, on-line communities, tradeshows, etc.
Create metrics for assessing marketing impact and evaluating those metrics
Conduct agency reviews for marketing partners to support efforts
Skills:
7+ years of B2B marketing experience, including strategic and tactical responsibilities
Self-starter with a proven track record of success driving marketing programs in the networking and data center sectors. Prior start-up experience a strong plus.
Demonstrated track record for generating overall awareness and visibility through innovative and highly cost-effective brand development and marketing communications
Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice and input across the company
Possess a strong quantitative, ROI-driven approach to marketing
Adept at leveraging the voice of the customer to identify critical messaging and brand attributes that lead to product differentiation or buying decisions
Expertise in web and social media strategy
Strong team player with service-oriented attitude
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent prioritization skills. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. Attention to detail.
BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar
Rate: D.O.E. as a 1099 or w2 employee of Crawford Group
Location: 50% onsite at clients' office in Santa Clara, 50% offsite/WFH/virtual/telecommute.
Hours/Duration: Part-time, 24 hours per week. 2/17/15 – 8/21/15. No phone calls please.
