VerticalResponse is looking for a Marketing Mgr., Analytics Optimization to own the day-to-day analytics, operations, and optimization to drive conversions: ad/content views into visits into sign-ups into engaged users and generating purchases by loyal customers.
You will join a company that knows and loves marketing – our founder is a direct marketer herself and we offer marketing solutions to our customers! You'll work in an intensely collaborative and creative environment and get your hands dirty with colleagues who live and breathe online advertising, social media, search, design, content marketing and more. We are obsessed with the latest marketing trends and technologies and making them accessible to our customers. Oh, and our team happy hours are epic!
The Job
Marketing analytics:
Integrate data from internal systems: Marketo, Google Analytics, Optimizely and more to tell a story about what is driving the business
Define data, analytics, and reporting requirements across channels: Direct, Email, Paid Search, Organic Search, Affiliates, Display Ads, and Referrals
Provide Marketing Managers with analytical insights into the customer lifecycle and recommendations for improving marketing programs
Product analytics:
Provide Product Managers actionable insights into customer behavior through analysis of usage data
Illustrate feature usage and workflows with data visualization
Identify user experience opportunities and challenges with reports incorporating both marketing performance and product usage
General:
Collaborate with Business Intelligence to build models for goal setting for budget and key metrics across the acquisition funnel into product usage
Stay informed about, communicate, and apply new or current trends and best practices in online marketing
Your Skills
Bachelors degree in Business or related discipline
2 to 4 years of relevant work experience (ideally with a SaaS product)
Proven analytical skills and attention to detail
Must be an Excel guru -- expert level with pivot tables and macros
Excel at communicating complex ideas in a simple, compelling and concise manner
Experience with Google Analytics and Marketo desired, Optimizely and Mixpanel a plus
Understanding of email marketing best practices and metrics a plus
Comfortable communicating from peers to the CEO in person or through email and social media
Motivated to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with high energy and flexibility
Proof of eligibility to work in the US
This position reports to the Director, Customer Lifecycle Marketing in San Francisco, CA.
