We have an exciting opportunity for a Recruiter for our Aon Risk Services Business, located in our downtown Chicago Office.
Position Summary
Works under direct supervision to provide recruiting services for a defined business area and manages all recruitment processes and function for that area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Gathers job requirements from hiring managers and develops knowledge of customer groups to effectively target recruitment efforts in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Uses the Internet, community-based organizations, formal/informal networks, etc. to source a diverse pool of qualified candidates. Screens candidates and coordinates interviews with hiring manager based on screening interview outcomes. Manages recruitment workflow steps and applicant information, including EEO tracking. Utilizes systems developed to track open positions, search status, and conduct background and reference checks. Provides regular reports to hiring managers on status of searches. Assists in compiling staffing reports, makes recommendations on continuous improvement efforts, and tracks effectiveness of sourcing methods and other recruiting metrics (i.e., cost-per-hire, time to fill vacancies, etc.). Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in recruiting. Strong problem solving and computer skills required. Must have the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, both within and outside of Aon. Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively in sensitive and confidential issues by telephone, in writing, and in face-to-face contacts. Must have the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and laws related to employment activities and to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
