Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an Event Marketing Engagement Manager consultant for an ongoing assignment at one of our top clients located in San Jose. The Event Marketing Engagement Manager will define objectives and strategies for event marketing initiatives, a key element of our clients' overall integrated marketing communications programs. (NOTE: This job does not include actual event management). The ideal consultant is a strong marcom program manager, accustomed to working in a fast paced and results-oriented corporate environment. Must be resourceful, enthusiastic, high energy and creative with a demonstrated ability to diplomatically influence at all levels of an organization and drive results.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Represent Event Marketing holistically to key segments as Engagement lead
* Ensure all event programs map to clear business objectives and are leveraged into key integrated marketing programs
* Based on key criteria and performance indicators, lead segment event portfolio
* Help to define and standardize consistent process, framework and training for event marketing engagement
* Analyze programs for effectiveness at segment/campaign level
* Identify new event marketing opportunities based on customer insight, industry trends and competitive research
* Communicate and lead virtual event marketing team approach
* Navigate and optimize the services and leverage opportunities within Event Marketing
Skills:
* 11-13 years' experience managing integrated marketing/communications programs, including setting event marketing program strategies. Must include recent experience working for at least one enterprise technology company
* Strong communications skills: verbal/public speaking, written, presentations
* Strategic, creative and business minded while ensuring strong delivery/execution results
* Experience in market research and/or marketing analytics
* Strong project management capabilities. Must have the ability to juggle multiple, concurrent demanding initiatives
* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
* Bachelors' degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar
* MBA a plus
* Experience in leading change management processes a plus
Rate: $2,200 per week as a w2 employee of Crawford Group
Location: Half time onsite at client headquarters in San Jose, CA, half time offsite/remote. Local, S.F. Bay Area candidates only; no phone calls please
Hours/duration: Full time, ASAP - ongoing
