We are currently searching for an experienced Business Development Manager/Director for our San Francisco office with experience selling digital advertising services who will work under general supervision of the President to prospect new business as well as manage clients through the Business Development process. The Business Developer pitches new clients, writes proposals, scopes out work as it relates to internet marketing and website development.

Summary of essential job functions:
• Prospects new client opportunities with defined target market list.
• Establishes introduction meetings with prospects for business development sales.
• Establishes updated prospect information and introduction to agency communication.
• Ability to filter prospects for agency objectives with the skills to communicate successfully to internal team.
• Successfully adopts agency objectives and communication messages to properly position agency with client prospects.
• Manages the phases of Business Development initiatives through research and planning to pitches, proposals, scope of work (SOW) documents and contracts.
• Prospects for new clients; attending networking events, warm calling, researching and identifying new client opportunities.
• Understands new clients' products/services and makes recommendations in conjunction with other internal business units.
• Interfaces with potential clients on all levels and functions to understand and manage client expectations.
• Acts as key liaison between potential client and internal teams including design, programming, SEO, SEM, Creative, Social, Local and Media up to sign-off
• Manages client on-board process and transition to the Account Services Department
• Presents Geary LSF capabilities presentations to potential clients
• Assesses client´s business objectives to provide strategic online marketing recommendations in proposal or presentation format
• Writes project proposals, response to RFP´s/ RFI´s, creates PowerPoint presentations and drafts client contracts (MSA´s)
• Documents the project management process throughout the business development cycle
• Responsible for meeting sales quotas as they relate to profitability and profit margin on the goal
• Responsible for team involvement in meeting team goals

Other Requirements:
• Successfully selling advertising products or services (any channel) for 3+ years
• Strong area advertising market knowledge, including companies, events and associations.
• Proven track record of targeting sales efforts to midsize and large enterprises
• Consultative sales outreach
• Properly defining client opportunities
• Strong ability to set up meetings
• Proven established network of C level relationships based on previous sales and marketing activities
• Experience in supporting fundraising and road show efforts
• Ability to generate sales traction (clients, partnerships, industry exposure) within the first three months
• Ability to meet or exceed quarterly sales revenue goals.
• Ability to manage multiple interactive projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability to communicate interactive solutions to various levels of technical staff
• Ability to interface and present with C-Level executives
• Ability to comprehend client goals and objectives and create unique solutions to meet goals and solve problems
• Analytical, detail oriented, team player with relentlessly positive attitude
• Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
• Ability to meet or exceed quarterly sales revenue goals
