The Position:
We are seeking a candidate with broad generalist experience for the role of Human Resources Director. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and positive team player with a "roll up your sleeves and get it done" approach, who can lead employee engagement efforts and professional development activities for our firm. Global experience and a global mindset will be a plus.
Summary:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for directing all of the people functions of the organization in accordance with the policies and practices of the Company, laws and regulations. The HR Director is also responsible for strategic human resource planning to provide the company with the best people talent available and to position the company as an Employer of Choice. This position reports into the Senior Leadership Team and has two direct reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
HR Strategy: Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization´s human
resource strategy and performance; evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning on the
attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the company.
•Talent Management and Development: Identify competency, knowledge and talent needs;
implement strategies including succession planning, training and development programs to prepare
employees for more significant responsibilities and professional development programs to enhance
employee knowledge and skills.
•Employee Relations: Facilitate a working atmosphere that fosters employee engagement; respond
to employee-relation issues; counsel employees seeking assistance of an HR nature; advise
management and employees during organizational change.
•Staffing: Direct staffing activities across the employee life cycle: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, retention and separation.
•Global: Maintain compliance with essential employment law and legal issues for overseas
operations sites; work with Regional Finance Managers to design, plan, and implement international
human resources programs and policies.
•Compliance: Ensure company compliance with all current, applicable labor laws and legal issues;
advise Board and senior management on best practices and course of action in all human resources
issues.
•Rewards: Develop progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide
motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.
•Other: Manage areas such as relocation, employee communication, employee safety and health
and other duties as required. Manage the budget and financial measures of the Human Resources
Department.
•Qualifications and Experience:
An experienced leader and human resource executive with a minimum of 10 years of varied and
progressive global HR experience, preferably in small global organizations.
•Thorough knowledge of state and federal labor laws; familiarity with international labor law and
issues.
•Masters degree (MA) or equivalent in HR or related field.
•SPHR certification; GPHR or other certification a plus.
•Overseas living and working experience a plus.

•A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong
operational focus and a willingness to be hands-on.
•A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
•An articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses
excellent communication skills.
•Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to employee groups, management at all levels of the company, and the Board.
•A good educator who is trustworthy, open, and is willing to serve as a mentor.
•An excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute and able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or issues.
•A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail oriented perspective.
•Diverse experiences in managing a range of administrative areas of responsibility.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and prior experience. Full insurance benefits and 3 weeks of vacation.
