Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an experienced Sr. Services Marketing Manager Consultant for our technology client in San Jose, CA. This consultant will drive customer adoption of Services offerings by integrating the client's Services capabilities, value propositions/content, promotions and programs into segment marketing planning and program execution. This role will align with our client's Services WW Marketing, Channel/Field Marketing and Field Sales teams to create opportunities which will best position Services offerings that meet the needs of the specific market segment.

The Sr. Services Marketing Manager will represent the segment marketing organization as a valuable ambassador to all key Field Marketing and Sales organizations and the client's partners. This role will require the understanding of appropriate product and services priorities and will require proactively offering marketing strategies for incorporating Services capabilities to best serve multiple objectives. The Sr. Services Marketing Manager will demonstrate success through increased advanced Services penetration, attach and refresh rates and multi-year contracts year over year. The ideal candidate is a strong program manager with a consultative/professional approach, capable of diplomatically influencing at the peer level and cross-organizationally.



Specific Responsibilities:


•Review current processes and streamline communications and information with the Sales teams regarding the Service Provider market and Services
•Build strong partnerships with the Product Marketing team and gain visibility to the Service Provider marketing plan
•Create a detailed understanding of key plays and programs for the Americas Theatre
•Build a market plan targeted at Tier 2 Service Providers which will include sales enablement, demand generation and awareness campaigns
•Collaborate with aligned subject matter experts and client's Services teams to ensure Services-led programs (and/or intelligence embedded programs) are well planned, executed and measured
•Ability to gain a solid understanding of Services offerings in order to recommend campaigns that optimally position Services in tandem with products and programs. Create opportunities for embedding Services in product-led programs and events
•Create and drive the unique services activities as required to meet sales and marketing objectives
•Review operational processes, such as ease of access to information and tools by the sellers
•Make recommendations to client's Services WW Marketing to create pricing and packaging for Services offerings aligned with the segment marketing and Sales teams' needs
•Secure and maintain productive communications with all key interlock points
•Escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner when necessary
•Proactively work to recognize and eliminate any barriers to success



Skills:


•11-15 years of Services/Product Marketing experience with solid business experience that reveals the proven ability to engage in consultative discussions and problem solving while operating within a matrixed organization
•Strong program management skills
•Ability to present and maintain positive and enthusiastic dispositions for Services offerings by understanding each one's unique value to customers, partners and clients
•Ability to recognize barriers to success and make recommendations to both Product and Services teams to overcome hurdles
•Demonstrated effectiveness in a matrix-managed organization, with well-developed communications and presentation skills
•Trained and experienced in strategic executive conversations
•Ability to understand key technology trends in the Service Provider landscape is critical
•Experience in marketing and/or selling professional services, consulting services, custom solutions preferred
•Understanding of the Service Provider market space preferred
•MBA preferred, Bachelor's degree required



RATE: D.O.E; as W-2 employee of Crawford Group; benefits available
LOCATION: 100% offsite/remote/WFH. No phone calls.
HOURS/DURATION: FT; February 17, 2014 to January 16, 2015
