We are seeking a versatile Human Resources Manager with strong experience in and demonstrated knowledge of all facets of HR: including personnel administration and management, recruiting, compensation/payroll, benefits administration, employee relations and strong grasp of state and federal laws.

Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, has excellent communication skills, thrives in fast paced environments, loves to multi-task, takes initiative, can organize chaos and enjoys managing a variety of responsibilities. This position is responsible for managing, analyzing for compliance, developing, implementing, and administering personnel-related systems such as recruitment, selection, performance management, compensation, separation, safety, diversity, employee development and special projects, including development of initial processes and related forms.

Job Responsibilities (A full job description can be emailed to candidates upon request):
- Human Resources – 55%: Point of contact for employee relations, assist with employee events, labor relations, manage the safety program, help implement new programs and systems, benefits administration, training and compliance.
- Recruiting and Orientation – 30%: Develop and oversee recruitment program, manage orientation process and paperwork, arrange interviews as well as being first point of contact during interviews.
- Administrative – 15%: HR and recruiting administration as well as inventory maintenance, ordering, vendor relations, and general administrative assistance.

The perfect candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and oversees corporate recruitment program. Directly supervises our company recruiters.
- Proper record keeping and file maintenance for all departments.
- Develops and administers compliant personnel policies.
- Oversees orientation and onboarding process and ensures all documents are up to date and compliant.
- Oversees benefits program.
- Responsible for labor relations.
- Monitors unemployment claims, assists Client/ Branch Managers with appeals. Coordinates, attends or designates a representative to attend all grievance or EDD hearings and related activities.
- Develops and administers our Performance Evaluation program.
- Monitors workers� compensation claims and coordinates interactions among employee and the insurance carrier.
- Oversees employee counseling and disciplinary actions.
- Manages all separation meetings (voluntary or involuntary).
- Oversees training and mandated training compliance, ensuring all training is logged into scheduling system.
- Annual audit of employee training hours and schedule continuing training classes to fulfill company requirements.
- Other duties as requested.

Job Requirements & Skills:
- 5 years management-level experience in human resources, a thorough understanding of human resource principles and practices, including employment law, Unions, and FMLA compliance.
- Certificate in human resources management either through continuing education or SHRM
- Strong communication skills; verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills to individuals, groups, and company memos.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and general software understanding.
- Strong ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Ability to take initiative, recognizes problems, and be creative in finding solutions without being tasked.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines, including ability to manage priorities and workflow, as well as plan, organize, and implement programs and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to objectively meet difficult and/or emotional situations in a professional and tactful manner.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions with strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
