We are looking for a seasoned Sr. Product Manager Contractor for a global high technology software company. The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for gathering, understanding and defining the requirements for an online marketplace platform. The Sr. Product Manager will work closely with appropriate business units, other product managers, SCRUM Masters and development team to take a product through complete cycle from analysis to launch.
This is a 6 month, 40 hours per week role onsite at the client's offices in Palo Alto, CA (flexibility to work 1 to 2 days remotely). Extensions are highly likely. This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee.
Responsibilities
•Works with business units to collect and understand the requirements related to the online marketplace platform
•Prioritizes product requirements and defines prioritized features in detail
•Writes product requirements document to document the requirements
•Works with other product managers, scrum masters and external development vendor
•Drive product deliverables and timelines using agile methodologies across business units, engineering, UX and QA and outsourced teams
•Translate overall vision/strategy into detailed product roadmap
•Conducts frequent team and status meetings and reports status and tracking support to management and executives.
Requirements:
•5+ years experience in managing products in online marketplace or online exchange
•Proficiency in writing Product Requirement Documents
•Solid experience in managing web based products
•Good experience with project and program management tools and methodologies
•Good experience in product marketing
•Experience in UX or UI is a plus
•Strong coordination, multi-tasking and organizational skills
•Ability to work independently and in teams to manage multiple projects
•Excellent written and spoken interpersonal communication skills
•BS Degree
