Director – Strategic Sales – IoT/Industrial

Position Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Accounts & IoT/Industrial, the Director, Strategic Sales will:
• Manage Hewlett Packard as a global account
• Partner within Wind River and Intel, our parent corporation, to align our teams and solutions with customers pursuing IoT market opportunities.
• Leverage 'rain making' skills and best practices to assist Wind River in defining and securing $10M+ IoT customer relationships in identified Wind River global and strategic accounts in 2014.

Responsibilities
• Lead and manage our business and relationship world-wide with Hewlett Packard; this position will carry world-wide quota responsibility.
• Align Wind River global and strategic account teams with respective Intel account teams; work closely with Alliance teams to evolve our IoT solution set.
• Jointly define and execute to comprehensive account plans that result in at least (3) $10M+ lifetime agreements with Wind River global/strategic customers in 2014.
• Work with Wind River's functional organizations (Global Accounts, Corporate Sales, Deal Desk, Sales Finance, Legal, Corporate Marketing, Engineering and Professional Services) to align them with goals and objectives

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, aggressive and energetic sales leader with a minimum of 15+ years' experience.

Additional Qualities & Experience

• Consultative Solutions selling and global account management experience with a track record of substantial success, business hyper growth and excellent customer relations at executive levels.
• Global account management experience at Hewlett Packard
• Creative business thinking and leadership skills
• Proven track record creating and closing 'big play' customer agreements
• A solid grasp of the embedded software business
• Rolodex of customer executive relationships; ability to assist field teams getting to new executives.
• Ability to quality, quantify and articulate the value of Wind River solutions in terms that resonate with executive decision makers.
• Excellent technical background; ability to gain respect from customer technologists
• Proven experience dealing with complex business and software development processes and issues.
• An inherent sense of urgency
• Excellent written, oral, presentation and public speaking skills
• Technical and/or business related degree—MBA preferred.
