Job Summary
Huawei R&D Competence Center is responsible for corporate level product design competence improvement and R&D product development efficiency driver, including architecture and system design, design for "X"-ability, system engineering software engineering, product development productivity methodology and tools infrastructure.
To facilitate the testing of the ICT solutions, a variety of tools from different tool domains are needed. We are planning to set up an open tools integration architecture or framework for the network solution R&D + tests and product R&D + tests and to integrate the tools from our tool R&D department and commercial companies.
Responsibilities
1. Identify critical industry trends, technologies and competitive threats, and formulate plan to stay in the lead through internal development or partnership. Guide technologies roadmaps and strategic directions. Developed and drove winning strategies for handling key and emerging opportunities
2. Define R&D tool integration architecture for the ICT products or ICT solution based on the products from radio network, fixed network including routers, enterprise infrastructure, consumer devices such as smart phone, tablets and so on.
3. Lead a team to analyze and break down the R&D tool architecture in details and give instruction to the junior engineer to implement that.
4. Identify the technology evolvement trend and potential business value and lead a team to explore and develop those emerging technologies.
5. Guide & influence the R&D teams to lift up development (including R&D and test) Competence in order to build up the E2E R&D Efficiency/Capability
6. Conduct Industry best practice analysis & Gap analysis based on Huawei present situation and provide some new ideas/thoughts and improvement roadmap, implementation strategy and planning. Lead the future direction of development of our R & D tools and modes.
Qualifications
1. At least 15 years of R&D + Test experience, in depth knowledge of internet or network product and solution design and testing, Process & Methodology.
2. Have experience in designing system architecture for large products or ICT software solutions for at least 5 years. Experts are preferred with ALM and R&D tools at least 5 years of R&D experience from tier 1 companies.
3. Have R&D experience from the tier 1 telecom Operators, Providers or IT Companies.
4. Have experience in leading the Optimization of software R&D Methodology & Process.
5. Good communication and documentation skills, good team working and problem solving skills, demonstrated ability to be mentor in training people
6. Education: Telecommunication, CS & Automation Control related fields.
