We are looking for a PR/Communications Manager for a contract role at Solar industry leader in Petaluma, CA. The PR/Communications manager will play a key role in the PR, social media, and thought leadership communications strategy development and will own the execution of PR and communications focused on leading business publications and outlets. The ideal candidate must have a passion for writing, traditional media and social media, and an enthusiasm for the power of analytics.
This is a 40 hours per week; 12 month long role onsite at the client's offices in Petaluma, CA. This is a w-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee.
Responsibilities:
•Work with the marketing executive team to develop the PR/Communications strategy to gain awareness and create thought leadership for the client in the general business community
•Work with PR agencies to execute PR activities
•Develop relationships with key business media (such as, Wall St Journal, Economist, NYT, etc.) and manage thought leadership programs with executives.
•Ghost write articles, presentations, speeches for executives.
•Produce written and visual content for a variety of communications channels, including Blogs, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, the client�s online community), press releases and customer success stories.
•Closely monitor print/online media and social media channels to track relevant conversations.
•Develop and produce analytics reports based on online conversations and awareness/reach analysis through the social listening tool, Sysomos.
Requirements:
•8 + years of public relations/communications experience.
•Experience with B2B public, high technology companies
•Demonstrated business media relations experience.
•Exceptional writing and communications skills.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently and also collaborate across teams.
•Proven ability to manage multiple projects with great attention to detail.
•Expertise and credibility working with executives and C-suite teams.
•Experience using social media and online communities to drive PR goals.
•Exceptional writer with the ability to develop a variety of materials from tweets to bylines.
•Ability to write in AP Style.
•BA in public relations, communication, or marketing.
