NOC CISCO Support Engineer CCNP position in Alpharetta/north of Atlanta, GA
POSITION OVERVIEW
Job title: Cisco Support Engineer
Reporting to: Director, Engineering Services
Based in: Alpharetta, GA – Headquarters
The Cisco Support Engineer will be responsible for inbound support requests via phone and email, acting as primary point of contact troubleshooting our customer’s Cisco related technical issues.
REQUIRED YOU HAVE…
- CCNP or equivalent experience
- Real-world experience in supporting Cisco-centric solutions
- Experience administering, engineering and debugging Cisco Voice Solutions.
- Familiarity with Cisco 800, 1000, 1800, 2600, 2800, 2900, 3800, 3900, 7200 Series Routers
- Familiarity with Cisco 2900, 3000, 4000 series Catalyst, 7000 Series Nexus and 8800 Series Switches
- Skills with basic Cisco Firewall rules and ACLs, as well as VPN solutions
- Fundamental understanding of ITIL-based support process
- Experience with monitoring/management platforms
- Ability to work with a ticketing system, making timely entries and adjustments as required
- Experience developing and maintaining defined support processes.
- Managing the on-boarding process for new clients…
- Reviewing, documenting and ensuring SLA targets are being met.
BLOW US AWAY IF YOU HAVE…
- Storage (ZFS, Nexenta, NetApp, EMC), Virtualization (VMWare and HyperV) and Compute (primarily UCS)
- VDI (VMWare View, Citrix XenApp, XenServer)
- Windows Server, AD, Exchange experience
- Ability to connect and communicate product specific issues to Sales Team for follow-up
