Senior WebLogic / Middleware Platform Administrator - Must have strong J2EE and Linux skills
Required:
- Install WebLogic and SOA Suite products. Configure and migrate domains. Automate installation using WLST and shell scripts.
- Strong understanding of Clusters, Admin/Managed Servers, Machines, JMS queues, Node Managers, shell scripts.
- Monitor servers using scripts, WLSP and third party tools. Log Analysis and Error resolution. Work with development team to perform root Cause Analysis.
- Perform tuning and capacity planning.
- Coordinate with team to maintain Service Level Agreements.
- Understanding the importance of compliance in relation to healthcare and Protected Health Information handling.
- Strong experience supporting highly available, redundant Application environments is required
Desired Skills:
- Participate in personal training to ensure technical knowledge is kept current
- Lead training sessions and classes for knowledge sharing
- Support UAT and performance testing. Monitor and track servers status during testing
- Capable of independently solving simple to moderately complex problems
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diversified workload
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including writing ability to update tickets with status and communicate daily/weekly status
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of operations and clients services
- Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills including ability to perform root cause analysis for preventative analysis
- Fluent with participating and/or executing the multiple stages of testing (i.e. Unit, System, Integration, Performance, Regression).
- Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an information technology discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a support or systems administration role.
- Minimum of 2 years supporting the Oracle middleware stack specifically: WebLogic Server (11gR1 and up), OSB, ODSI, ODI, API Gateway, Web Center, SOA Suite, BPM, Oracle Enterprise Manager (formerly GRID control).
- Experience with Virtual environments
- Experience with Web based applications
- Experience with SQL preferred
- Must be able to support off-hours on
