Position Summary:
Responsible for planning, managing, and leading company resources to execute customer focused programs or program components from design phase through implementation. Translates customer requirements and converts to program deliverables. Identifies and communicates program scope and ensures milestones and objectives are met. Ensures effective communication between technical and non-technical functions. Coordinates schedules, manages risk, monitors budgets and assigns tasks. Keeps management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
Keys to this Role:
1) Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
2) 5+ years of technical experience with at least 3 years of direct program management experience
3) Relevant experience as a program manager servicing DoD industry
4) Experience in managing $200K - $5M + projects/programs
5) Secret Level Clearance
6) Must be a US Citizen
Position Responsibilities:
· Develop a statement of work and plan for the program
· Define technical scope, capability and details of program requirements, customer needs and organizations deliverables
· Surface and track all required customer deliverables within organizations cross functional teams
· Obtain and manage the necessary cross functional resources required to complete the program. Drive to maximize corporate resource utilization.
· Handle requests from senior management, sales, pre and post-sales support, manufacturing, or customers to ensure the program's progress and success
· Oversee the requirements of the account to ensure meeting customer commitments for schedules and deliverables
· Identify and resolve critical issues, such as product delivery delays, and changes to customer requirements to ensure customer satisfaction
· Manage to quarterly revenue and cash flow goals, and percentage of completion milestones
· Contributing member on capture/proposal team
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
· 5+ years technical experience with at least 3 years direct program management experience required
· Experience in managing $200K - $5M + projects/programs
· Relevant experience as a program manager servicing DoD or high tech industry
· Must have strong analytical ability.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers
· Intermediate knowledge of program scheduling tools, such as MS Project
· Intermediate level of experience with MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint
· US Citizen with US Secret clearance - current active clearance preferred
· Working knowledge of program management techniques and contract accounting
· Solid presentation skills
· Problem solving skills
· High level of organization
