Seeking an entry level Recruiter for a retained executive search firm specializing primarily in the public and non-profit sectors.

The key responsibilities will be project management, writing recruitment announcements, conducting outreach, consisting of researching the various government/agency websites for staff directories, and reaching out in the form of cold calls and emails. The recruiter may also conduct preliminary phone screens and subsequent candidate profiles, and make recommendations to senior staff. Follow up candidate referencing may also be required. Writing assignments will consist of writing job announcements to market the position, candidate assessments to market and present the finalist candidates to the client, conducting and documenting reference checks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both oral and especially strong written, plus an orientation towards marketing with positive interpersonal skills. Knowledge of, or exposure to, local government is highly desirable. A background including five years in a professional capacity with a Bachelors degree in Business, Public Administration, English, Communications, or a related field is required. Compensation is flexible/DOQ.
