Job Description
Reporting to the Director Human Resources, the Project Manager will be
responsible for developing, driving and delivering robust results for
numerous organizational and program related projects including crucial
strategic objectives and quality management initiatives. A strong focus on
best practices, continuous improvement and building quality as well as
utilizing a consultative approach toward building strong relationships
across the organization will be vitally important in the support of that
goal. Ensuring that the organization successfully implements and achieves
top identified strategic goals, initiatives and projects will be key success
indicators for this role within the first year.
The role requires a mastery of the technical knowledge of project management
stages and the supporting processes, related technology skills and
stakeholder management.
Working closely in tandem with executive leadership, executive sponsors and
internal project owners, the Project
The Project Manager will be a highly focused, hands-on, results-oriented
change agent who is an innovative thinker, strong relationship builder and
servant-leader. Exceptional project management skills and leadership
experience, combined with a strong passion for the vision, mission and goals
of UMCH) as well as for the staff and constituents we serve are critical to
success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
. Works with the Executive Team, Administration, and Program Management Team
to develop project charters that define organizational objectives and
establish appropriate project scope
. Establishes and helps to institutionalize project management methodologies
and related best practices within the organization.
Education/Experience Requirements
. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent
job-related work experience in Business, Information Technology, or a
related discipline . Demonstrated expert level experience selecting,
implementing and utilizing effective project management tracking tools such
as MS-Project or related project management software/tool . Experience
developing detailed work plans and requirements specifications, addressing
resource allocation issues, documenting processes and running project
meetings
Preferred Qualifications
. Master's Degree or MBA preferred
. PMP (Project Management Professional) or related project management
certification preferred
Technology/Computer Skills
. Microsoft Office - Expert level experience using MS-Project or related
project management tools . Microsoft Office - Advanced level experience
using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
