Our client is currently looking for an exceptional marketing communications person who can develop an on-going dialogue with our customers and prospects, bridging business and technical issues with clear and engaging messaging that projects our key value propositions. In addition to a broad understanding of the broadcast/video industry, the position requires somebody who can interface tightly with our worldwide product management and sales teams to develop and implement multi-level communications campaigns that yield high quality business leads.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Communications plan development: > Develop a worldwide communications plan for the play out facility / service provider sectors, which addresses the major opportunities in our key markets, based on market/competitor research, as well as positioning and launch information from product management, and the feedback and pipeline data from the international sales teams > Determine how best to communicate to key customer/prospect groups, using new digital and traditional media
2. Content preparation: > Write content and prepare outline visual concepts for multi-stage communications campaigns for key solutions, which offer valuable information to customers, while also presenting key value propositions to inform, persuade and generate leads > Content to span web communications, direct marketing, advertising and events > Liaise with internal/external design/web/video/PR resources, and see projects through from inception to completion > Take responsibility for specific product communications in addition to the production studio/broadcaster solutions communications
3. Program management: > Manage a calendar of activities, and ensure they are completed on schedule, working closely with the Marketing Operations, direct marketing, events, web/graphics and PR teams for effective program delivery and optimal repurposing of content > Keep the sales and product management teams up to date with campaign plans and the latest content
4. Metrics and reporting: > Monitor success of campaigns to review their effectiveness and refine communications, using marketing/web analytics and research data, and relay results back to sales, marketing and product management using a marketing dashboard
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
> Proven communications abilities in the broadcast/video sector, spanning traditional and digital media, including web content, direct marketing, advertising, events, videos, media relations and sales tools > Exceptional ability to articulate business and technical solution benefits across diverse communications content, including newsletters, case studies, white papers, application notes, videos, and webinar content > Ability to maintain core brand values while addressing requirements of key customer groups > Strong project management skills, and an ability to progress multiple campaigns simultaneously > Strong inter-personal skills to allow a close working relationship within the marketing team and across the product management and sales teams > Must be highly organized, dependable and self-directed > Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment > Willingness to travel once a month
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
> Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications or a technical discipline
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
> Familiarity with campaign management using marketing automation and analytics (Sage SalesLogix and Sales Fusion experience advantageous) > Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
> Event management experience (shows, road shows, webinars) > Three years or more of experience in a similar role |
