Our client is currently looking for an exceptional communications director to handle public relations, social media, and internal communications. We're aiming to develop an on-going dialogue with our customers, prospects and employees, bridging business and technical issues with clear and engaging messaging that projects our key value propositions. In addition to a broad understanding of the broadcast/video industry and its key media, the position requires somebody who can interface tightly with our corporate, worldwide product management and sales teams to develop and implement multi-level communications campaigns that inform, persuade and also generate sales leads
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Communications plan development: > Develop a marketing worldwide communications plan which spans public relations, social media campaigns, and sales & technical employee communications, which addresses how best to communicate to key audiences using new digital and traditional media > Communications to address the major opportunities and issues in our key markets based on market/competitor research, as well as positioning and launch information from product management, and the feedback and pipeline data from the international sales teams
2. Content preparation: > Media relations content preparation to include press releases, feature articles, editor briefings, and award entries. The content is to be prepared from a perspective of repurposing across direct marketing and web/social media communications. > Social media campaigns to develop core messaging themes, and also support other direct marketing, event and on-line community activities > Internal marketing communications content to be focused on the intranet to address all employees, with more focused news for sales and product management to highlight key solution/market issues
3. Program Management: > Manage a calendar of activities, and ensure that they are completed on schedule, working closely with the Marketing Operations team to maximize repurposing of content > Work closely with our executive team, direct marketing, events and web/graphics teams for effective program delivery > Keep the sales and product management teams up to date with campaign plans and the latest content
4. Metrics and reporting: > Monitor success of campaigns to review effectiveness and refine communications, using marketing/web analytics and research data, and relay results back to sales, marketing and product management using a marketing dashboard
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
> Proven communications abilities in the broadcast/video sector, spanning traditional and digital media, including media relations, social media and internal communications > Exceptional ability to articulate business and technical solution benefits across diverse communications content > Ability to maintain core brand values while addressing requirements of key customer groups > Strong project management skills, and an ability to progress multiple campaigns simultaneously > Strong inter-personal skills to allow a close working relationship within the marketing team and across the executive, product management, and sales teams > Must be highly organized, dependable and self-directed > Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment > Willingness to travel once a month
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications or a technical discipline
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
> Familiarity with campaign management using marketing automation and analytics (familiarity with Sage SalesLogix and Sales Fusion advantageous) > Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
