Job Description
We're looking for a design lead in the online space with 8+ years creating visual concepts, interactive media, and excellent user interface experiences for external and internal web sites and applications. This individual should be able to create designs that support and extend company corporate identity and branding.

Candidate will also be responsible for production layout and content entry for McAfee web properties. Projects could span 1-2 weeks, or need to be completed in an hour. Candidate will be a key contributor to the McAfee.com team, with direct interaction and support of internal customers.

This individual should have hands-on experience using complex web content management tools and should feel comfortable collaborating with others to meet objectives.

Graphic design ability, familiarity with web infrastructure, attention to detail and deadlines, excellent communication, and problem solving skills are required.

Responsibilities
• Create visual design solutions that address business objectives, brand, market, and user requirements. Expertise in the design of wireframes, screen layouts, work with color palettes, user interface elements, information architecture, and interactive design for all online usage to help all design processes from start to finish.

• Have a high degree of design skill, thorough knowledge of web page construction and efficient production capability to deal with volume and quick turn-around work. Skillfully handle multiple projects simultaneously and daily web production activities for mcafee.com using content management system template and tools.

• Take ownership of all online user interfaces to ensure outstanding user experience, including powerful visual impact, high usability, rich features, relevant content, and optimal performance. Design user-interface elements based on existing styles, and create optimized graphics for web site implementation.

• Able to concept and develop work that plays brilliantly against the overall creative strategy, and help to craft all levels of work from online campaigns landing pages to a simple but effective HTML emails and/or newsletters. Have a solid understanding of Internet technologies and trends.

• Demonstrate problem-solving skills that translate business objectives into interactive application concepts. In addition, possess the discipline and attention to detail necessary for fleshing out a concept into a completed, polished project.
• Collaboration and interaction with a variety of internal clients across many disciplines.

• Self-driven and self-managed, operating effectively with little oversight - yet welcome cooperation and collaboration with both team members and clients.

Qualifications
• 8+ years experience working with new media maintaining corporate web sites
• Expert-level skills with web publishing and graphics software, including Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Homesite
• A solid understanding of design with HTML/DHTML, XML/XSLT, Javascript, Flash, Actionscript, and CSS based pages (minimally have intermediate skill level with majority of these coding technologies)
• Experience using enterprise CMS tools such as Interwoven, Documentum, Stellant, etc
• Proven history of being able to work under pressure, multi-task, and to meet deadlines; detail-oriented approach to managing work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to be flexible in a dynamic work environment
• Knowledge of restrictions in design on the web and browser limitations is required
• Experience with dynamic site generation is highly desirable
